After the meat scandal, a new dioxin alarm has risen in Northern Ireland, where illegal levels of the dioxin have been found in milk produced at two dairy farms.
The contamination originated from dioxins which accumulated in the fat of the dairy cattle fed with contaminated feed.

Tecna has signed a commercial agreement with BDS -BioDetection Systems b.v.- a company in the Netherlands that holds the rights to the technology DR CALUX®. This is a well known screening method for dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs. Tecna will be representing BDS in Italy and in Southern Europe, in particular Croatia, Serbia, Greece and Spain and will be spreading the DR CALUX® method, assisting laboratories that will decide to use this method.
