Immuno Assays: tests highly specific and sensitive due to the specificity of the antigen-antibody reaction;
Receptor Assays: assays based on enzymes or receptors in order to detect entire families of molecules instead of single molecules;
Immunoaffinity Chromatography: chromatographics gels which use antibodies to separate individual compounds from complex mixtures;
Polymerase Chain Reaction: Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) and food pathogens can be rapidly detected by the identification of specific DNA sequences.
